Shifting The Paradigm
Introduction
The facts are that we live in a divided exploitative world, where the advent of globalisation and neoliberalism is leading to an enormous division between the haves and have nots.
Religion has become a field of dogmatic utterance.
People are more concerned about economic realities, their survival and comfort, than awakening to the dire situation that the human species is in.
Technology has taken the predominant role in this global society. It is the universal panacea which can give the cure of cancer, the production of the superhuman and superhuman athletes, the extension of lifespan to hundreds of years and the empowerment of the human brain through fusion with artificial intelligence (AI). AI with emotions and feelings are predicted to appear within the next 20 years and could take over from humans - as they would have far more intelligence and creativity unless the human brain was enhanced through nano-cellular connectivity with AI.
Add to this the conception of cyber warfare and new forms of military power based on AI; we see ourselves in a completely new world where wealth, power and control are the predominant elements.
Jung, in the ‘Undiscovered Self’ states that, "The structure and physiology of this brain poses no explanation of the psyche. The psyche has a peculiar nature, which cannot be reduced to anything else. Consciousness is a pre-condition of being human. The psyche is endowed with dignity, which philosophically gives it a dignity equal to a human being. Consciousness must be granted this status of human existence and the individual, who is only the source of consciousness, must be allowed a corresponding significance in society. Institutions of ideology and religion permit individuality only in so far as the individual does not oppose their dogmas, otherwise he is condemned as a heretic and/or eccentric.”
How do we release the innate noetic faculties of the human psyche, whereby we exalt the power of the human spirit as consciousness being the acausal phenomenon which can create the new ‘Quantum Human’ - the human universalis?
There are a few of us who are spiritual, and are often called the cultural creatives or in spiral dynamics are on the turquoise level, or above expressing the human emergence of a tolerant all-embracing loving community, but such people are a minute fraction of the total.
The masses are conditioned for war, money, survival, commodities, technologies, working for a living and are not even educated about human values, ethics or consciousness. A global interconnected world for them is a new world order based on trade links and trans pacific partnerships, in which people's health is based on drugs and their buying habits of toxic foods and predilections based on advertising of cars, computers and a range of digital learning, video, music and entertainment. Human interaction is becoming a virtual reality.
Somehow human love, passion, goodness, truth, spirituality, love of nature has to become more enticing and seductive than all these other processes - if we are to survive.
The morphic field of humanity or the noosphere needs to become enticing, so that freedom rings in people’s ears.
Love as a shared capacity and innate endowment has to be sung out loud, and the power of human consciousness has to be exhorted.
We have to become new human beings: avatars of human creativity and wisdom in order to create a new global civilisation which has as its utmost proclamation - the sacredness of human life.
This requires an ‘Apollo Project’, comparable to the project that put the first man on the moon; here the moon is our heart’s desire.
It’s time for those of us who are consciously evolving, to take a stand on behalf of life to say, “Enough!”, and demand real change and action - not in ten or twenty years time, but here and now!
The biggest global challenge we face is to co-create from an altruistic perspective those social, political and economic systems to foster the needed systemic changes in our governments and corporations. So far, we’ve been falling way short of the mark in all respects.

TARGETS
We need to work towards a world where:
We have a sustainable civilisation base, i.e. a steady state co-relationship with planetary resources at global, regional and local level using only resource and energy ‘income’, guarding species diversity and populations, putting back what we take out, not altering eco-cycles such as soil, climate, etc.
We have a peaceable civilisation base, i.e. without war, without structural violence and inequities with positive search for peaceful relations.
We have a ‘flowering’ civilisation base, i.e. quality of life, personal freedom & opportunity and spiritual balance and growth.
The Human Scale; we have a flexible, diverse civilisation base, i.e. allowing change and growth without conflict, responsive to innovation and diverse enough to be resilient.
PRECONDITIONS
Before we can even begin to achieve our targets, we must:
To hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2 °C above pre-industrial levels, and to pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels, recognising that this will significantly reduce the risks and impacts of climate change. (The Paris Agreement, 2015).
Stop the nuclear arms race and achieve nuclear disarmament before we destroy ourselves.
Divert military spending and science into peaceful development – there is nowhere else we can get resources from to pay for our future.
Attend to structural inequities in global society which lead to war and environmental loss.
Accept the limitations which planetary ecology places on human systems.
Begin the spiritual and moral evolution necessary to build our future: learning to be, not have (Fromm).
ASSUMPTIONS/SCENARIOS
Many scientists think Earth has a maximum carrying capacity of 9 billion to 10 billion people. As the eminent Harvard University sociobiologist Edward O. Wilson, points out in his book "The Future of Life" (Wilson, 2002), "The constraints of the biosphere are fixed”. At present, according to current projections of population growth, the world population of humans will continue to grow until at least 2050, with the estimated population, based on current growth trends, to reach 9 billion in 2040 and some predictions putting the population in 2050 as high as 11 billion. ("Projections of population growth", 2016)
Which of the following scenarios in this event do we think likely?
1.5 billion relatively rich people ignoring needs of 8.5 billion in poverty, but the poor accepting this?
Global ecocatastrophe preventing this scenario?
War preventing or exacerbating the scenario?
Can the catastrophe be avoided, and if so, how?
Defusing The Crisis: Gaining a Breathing Space
PREAMBLE
What immediate strategies should be adopted to help preserve peace and environmental security for the next ten years – and thereby reduce the risk of global nuclear confrontation, and irreversible damage to our civilisation base, and planetary resource occurring, ‘before’ such time as new management policies can be applied?
Our planet is at war on two fronts. There is the silent war between humanity and the environment. Increasing inequity between the developing world, and the developed world is tied up with overpopulation, poor resources, decreased sustainability, poverty and hunger.
Our planet as it currently stands, can not support even seven billion people while there is a global monetocracy consisting of a financial elite, who possess most of the wealth and wish to control humanity in various ways as expressed by the new world order.
This controlling monetocracy places millions of dollars into developing the military industrial complex, as well as the global pharmaceutical industry. The top ten global companies have more profits then the total 500 fortune companies.
We are at a sixth phase extinction of biodiversity on the planet, where over 30,000 species are being lost yearly - an extinction rate equivalent to the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.
Over population, pollution, climate change, earth warming, greenhouse effect and ozone layer depletion, add up to a scenario of ecological disruption, which will see thousands of people and animals being displaced from their normal habitats.
Competition for scarce resources such as food and water, plus the concentration of many people in enormous city slums, will lead to increasing wars, crime and terrorism; unless humanity can find alternative ways of conserving the environment and producing new free and clean energy from resources.
Currently 1 in 115 people on Earth are refugees.
One of the biggest problems the world faces is religious conflict. Cultural differences in the Middle East and alternative forms of governments, lead to the production of terrorists, who take their lead from the religion that they follow.
Religious fundamentalism can well be not only a desperate need to maintain the individual’s surety of their belief system, but also a product of the restrictive deprived upbringing in the strict climate of a governmental regime.
What this means is that different cultures and different countries are at different levels of development, and growth in terms of their consciousness, and the way that they perceive survival and wellbeing.
In particular this concept is well expressed using the framework of spiral dynamics, which was in fact used very successfully to monitor and enhance South Africa’s exit from apartheid. Therefore, the big challenge we face is the need for a new inter-faith dialogue, on all levels with an emphasis on and expression of a new paradigm of consciousness, and new ways of thinking.
DEFUSING THE CRISIS
Wikileaks has given the world the opportunity to seek transparency in diplomatic negotiations. We need to increase détente at all levels in all countries, specifically between:
India and Pakistan
US, North Korea and Iran
US, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Taliban.
Israel and Palestine.
US, China and Russia.
Saudi Arabia and other Arab states with Iran taking into account the conflict between Shiites and Sunnis.
All responsible nations should outlaw terrorism as a crime against humanity.
Reduce fear of surprise attacks, by reducing secrecy and implementing bilateral open surveillance and monitoring of military behaviour.
Introduce confidence building and ‘fair exchange’ or compromise deals in as many areas of global relations as possible, including human rights, intelligence, food and energy, technology swaps, passport, work permit and travel status, etc.
Nuclear-free Europe as buffer zone?
Increase communication globally: hot line, military to military communications, civil servant exchanges.
DEVELOP REGIONAL SECURITY STRATEGIES
Immediate steps to strengthen regional groupings’ direct responsibility for increasing security and reducing flashpoints in own areas, coupled with corresponding reduction in superpower interference and direct involvement, in regional groupings.
Regional trade and development agreements
Regional surveillance/monitoring of military activity.
Regional negotiating positions vis a vis major powers on economics, trade, arms control and development.
Regional pollution agreements, resource planning and environmental regulations.
STRENGTHEN CRISIS ANTICIPATION AND TECHNIQUES OF CRISIS MANAGEMENT
Study and hence quicker recognition of factors, which turn conflicts into wars, both internal and external.
Establishment of supranational or regional groups of experienced mediators and political watchdogs to observe, analyse and defuse crisis signs ahead of time.
Establishment of a media code of ‘fair representation’, i.e. equal coverage of all sides of issue, particularly during incipient crises.
Strengthening and facilitating existing methods, such as shuttle diplomacy, UN, world court, third party initiatives, conditions and setting of negotiations.
Strengthening collective pressures such as trade embargoes, economic penalties and ‘carrots’, offers of development aid in return for settlements etc.
Establish a World Council of Minorities and Displaced Peoples to strengthen understanding and negotiating power of such groups and reduce likelihood of violence and guerrilla/civil conflict/terrorism.
REDUCE ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE AND POVERTY
Stabilising commodity prices in terms of trade.
Rescheduling of some debts, partial cancellation of others.
Strengthen the resolve of all countries to contribute towards the United Nations Millennium developmental goals; on September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
Establish the ‘right to a sustainable livelihood’ as one of the basic rights in UN charter.
Immediate study of sustainable and environmentally benign agricultural base and policies, for and within regions to reduce 3rd world food dependency on superpowers and developed nations.
ECO-FREEZE: MULTILATERAL FREEZE ON THE FOLLOWING
Uphold the The Paris Agreement (French: L'accord de Paris) 2016. within the framework of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) . (The Paris Agreement, 2015)
Global CO2 and other emissions heating atmosphere.
Global levels of chemical products threatening the ozone layer.
Global levels of emissions causing acid rain and pollution.
Global development of new toxic chemicals and levels of toxic waste emissions and dumping.
Current global forest stocks, not rate of use.
Current global fishing levels and technology.
Other possibilities: moratoria on major river basin schemes, and on new land development or groundwater use, and commercial exploitation of GMOs and genetically engineered microorganisms; freeze on rate of application of synthetic pesticides and herbicides.
Population
Increased budgets for family planning?
Increased efforts in education and conditions for women?
Attack on poverty?
Social security schemes in countries not having them?
Building A New Economic Order
During these times of global political change and fiscal austerity, it seems that only one class of clean, renewable and sustainable energy sources can get us through these times: new, breakthrough ‘free’ energy. If properly understood and developed, these previously suppressed technologies are the only path towards having affordable clean energy. The sources include vacuum energy, cold fusion and advanced hydrogen chemistries.
The capital investment and environmental impact required, to deploy free energy to replace hydrocarbons and nuclear energy, would be minuscule compared to the trillions needed to implement a pervasive economy, of any other source, even including conventional renewables such as solar, wind and biofuels.
The Energy Solution Revolution is a social and political mandate, to create an awareness and a movement to develop these sources as soon as possible, for the sake of all humanity and the Earth.
Media misinformation constantly misleads people as to the true nature of the reality in which they exist. We still emphasise the essence of quality of life, in terms of economic success, power and wealth at the expense of true human values, cooperation and a spiritual understanding of connectedness.
When there is one soldier for every 49 people in the world and one doctor for thousands of people, we realise the basic inequality in our values and the misinformation, which is given to us from school onwards to universities, which are so divided in their disciplines that there is no integration or understanding of how wisdom in its very essence, is inter linked and connected a whole just as our spirit, body and minds are units in a greater whole.
A new world order controlled by a vastly wealthy elite, is surely not the destiny of our own human individual needs and requirements for freedom, health and happiness. It is important that we understand, what we are up against in terms of a controlling, exploitative global monetocracy and a global military industrial complex which seeks only for control for the sake of the needs and requirements of this elite.
Environmental deregulation, unbridled financial speculation, unlimited growth and unregulated free trade based on globalisation, relentless resource exploitation globally, institutionalised fraud and financial manipulation, market rigging, the interplay of powerful economic actors, and the appropriation of enormous amounts of wealth by a small global monetocracy are feeding an impending global social catastrophe.
As has been shown above, Western governments serving the interests of economic elites are installing big brother police states with massive powers for surveillance and with a mandate to confront and control all forms of opposition and social dissent.
It is evident that under global capitalism, mounting poverty and ecological disaster is not the result of a scarcity or lack of human or material resources or some kind of overriding natural catastrophe. Quite the opposite holds true.
The economic inequality on the planet is marked by a process of disengagement of human resources and physical capital. People’s lives globally are being destroyed by an economic manipulation of social inequality, leading to global impoverishment of at least 50-60% of the population, as well as, the demise of middle and upper middle income groups.
There is innovation, energy, social innovation, proper education, literacy, water and food available for all on the planet. If we use new science with new sustainable energy technologies and new forms of agriculture, which are not polluting or toxic we can free ourselves from the tipping point.
